Emirates Launches Premium Economy On GCC Routes With New Boeing 777s Starting October 1

Emirates airline will introduce its retrofitted Boeing 777s to Zurich and Riyadh from October 1, expanding the reach of its newly enhanced aircraft. These aircraft, which have undergone a significant overhaul, will also serve Geneva and Brussels routes. The introduction marks the debut of Emirates' Premium Economy product on GCC routes.

New Aircraft and Services

Emirates aims to enhance passenger experience by offering:

  • Premium Economy: The newly configured Boeing 777s will feature the highly acclaimed Premium Economy product.
  • Business Class: An upgraded Business Class cabin will also be available on these aircraft.

Flight Updates and Cancellations

In response to regional tensions, Emirates has extended its avoidance of Iranian and Iraqi airspace until August 21, an extension from the previous date of August 13. Affected passengers are allowed to rebook or cancel their journeys free of charge.

Lufthansa and Air France Flight Suspensions

Lufthansa: The German airline group has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv, Tehran, Beirut, Amman, and Erbil until August 21 due to ongoing regional tensions. Affected passengers can rebook or cancel flights without incurring charges.

Air France: The French carrier and its subsidiary, Transavia France, have also extended their suspension of flights to Beirut through August 14. The suspension, in place since July 29, will be reassessed based on the situation on the ground. However, flights to Tel Aviv will continue as scheduled.
