Saudi security forces killed two terrorists and wounded a third after they attacked the Buraidah-Tarafiya checkpoint in Al Qassim.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior's security spokesman on Sunday said:
"At 3:45 pm on Sunday afternoon (July 8), three terrorists opened fire on the security checkpoint located at Buraidah-Tarafiya road in Al Qassim. The attackers were in a 2018 Hyundai Elantra car.
The security forces fired back, killing two terrorists and wounding the third, who was transported to a hospital.
First-Sergeant Sulaiman Abdulaziz Al Abdalatif and a Bangladeshi resident were martyred in the attack.
The security authorities have begun the criminal investigation procedures of the crime, which is still subject to a security follow-up. Any new developments regarding the case will be announced."
