Teacher's Swift Action Saves First Grader

A teacher’s rapid intervention at a Saudi primary school saved a child’s life after he had swallowed three coins, according to a recent media report.

The female teacher, who works at a school in Al Aflaj governorate, about 300km from Riyadh, noticed during her class that the first-grade student was showing signs of choking and difficulty in breathing.

Saving the Child from Danger

With her quick thinking, the teacher helped the boy expel the coins he had unintentionally swallowed while playing with them in his mouth, according to Saudi news outlet Sabq.

Parental Gratitude

The boy’s father, Mohammed Al Dousri, praised the teacher for her professionalism and life-saving response. “I thank the teacher for her quick care and expertise, which after Allah, was the reason for saving my son’s life,” he said.

Schools across Saudi Arabia reopened their doors for the new academic year on August 18, welcoming students back to class.

Another Teacher's Kind Gesture

In a separate incident last month, a Saudi teacher demonstrated exceptional kindness when he hosted several schoolchildren at his home after their bus broke down near his house, as shown in a social media video.

Offering Help in a Difficult Situation

The footage captured the children exiting the bus and heading toward the teacher’s house. The teacher, Majed Al Enazi, works at a school in the city of Al Kharj, southeast of Riyadh.

Al Enazi recounted the moment: “After finishing work, I saw a school bus stop in front of my house with around 50 primary schoolboys. I immediately invited them inside to take a rest and protect themselves from the scorching sun.”

Reassuring Parents

Al Enazi also contacted the children’s parents to reassure them and even let the students speak to their parents directly. His actions garnered appreciation from the local education authorities.
