Saudi Policeman Dies After Knife Attack In Taif

Sergeant Abdullah Mashari Naif Al-Subaie, serving in traffic administration on Al-Jaysh Street in Taif province, was killed by a bayonet attack at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, an Interior Ministry security spokesman said in a statement.
The perpetrator tried to escape from security officials using a traffic patrol vehicle. He was arrested after sustaining an injury, resulting in him being taken to hospital for treatment.
Abdul Aziz Sa’ud Sa’ad Al-Musabi Al-Maliki was a repeat offender with a long criminal record, the statement said.
Two security men, one from the Ministry of National Guard, are in a stable condition in hospital. Security authorities are still investigating the attack.
