A remote inspection service for minor traffic accidents has been launched by Saudi Arabia's General Traffic Department, Moroor and Najm.

"Report, Photograph, Park," aims to reduce traffic caused by minor road accidents.

Najm created a mobile application that uses an integrated digital system so that passengers can report accidents themselves, and then proceed to park away from oncoming traffic.

According to Moor, in order to be eligible for the service, one of the parties must have insurance, there must be no injuries or deaths, and the accident must occur within Najm's operational area.

This app is expected to serve as a primary channel for alerts to insurance companies as per the requirements of customers at any time and from any location, in addition to facilitating post-accident services.

Accident victims often have to wait for Najm to arrive at the scene, which can take up to an hour. The vehicles involved in the accident remain stationary, disrupting traffic and causing major delays.

As pointed out by the official spokesman for Moroor, this type of initiative contributes to the development of the Kingdom's insurance system and to the consolidation of traffic safety, which "is a pivotal goal for all partners and stakeholders."

In line with the Kingdom's 2030 vision, the remote inspection initiative will provide "a cornerstone in building an infrastructure based on digital transformation, beneficiary satisfaction, safety, and access to a vibrant society and safe roads."

Najm's CEO, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sulaiman, confirmed that the first phase of this initiative meets Najm's strategy to develop services for the vehicle insurance sector in the Kingdom and improve customer service.

“The General Traffic Department is a strategic partner for Najm and is instrumental to the success of all initiatives launched to develop the insurance sector,” he said.
