Man Lashed For Drinking Alcohol In Makkah

A man was flogged after he was caught drunk in Mina, one of the Haj holiest places in Makkah.
The police were dealing with a freak accident involving two cars in the area of Mina, 5 kilometers to the east of Makkah.
The officers then realized that a driver of one of the two cars involved in the accident was in fact drunk.
He was referred to a court which convened for just 15 minutes and issued the verdict to flog the defendant.
