Authorities Clampdown On Counterfeit Jewelry In Riyadh

The Saudi authorities have launched a clampdown on traders selling counterfeit gold jewelry in the city of Riyadh as part of efforts to protect intellectual copyrights.
The Ministry of Media conducted the crackdown after a complaint was lodged.
Inspectors working with the Copyrights General Directorate raided jewellery shops and confiscated 33 items bearing legally protected inscriptions and decorations.
Control and Inspection Director Abdulla Al-Nafissa announced that legal measures will be taken against the violators.
