Wadi Hanifa Stream Drowns Girl Child In Riyadh

A girl drowned in Wadi Hanifa in the Saudi capital city, the Riyadh Civil Defense announced on Thursday. Civil Defense rescue team members retrieved the girl's body.
In a statement on Twitter, the Civil Defense said: "The Civil Defense in Riyadh pulled the girl's body from the stream of Wadi Hanifa. According to the statement, she had already died by the time she was pulled from the stream.
When taking children out for recreation, Civil Defense advises parents to monitor their children and not allow them to approach water bodies. Children should not play around water-gathering areas or cross torrential streams.
