Visas On Arrival For The Sultanate Of Oman Are Now Available To GCC Residents Of All Professions
Category: Travel

GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) residents of any profession are now allowed to enter the Sultanate of Oman for business, tourism, etc. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) consists of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.

GCC residents can enter Oman through any border, including those in countries where they do not reside. All GCC countries offer visa on arrival services for resident expats, which can be obtained at all border posts.

The circular issued by Oman Airports states that all GCC residents with valid residency and work visas issued by any GCC country (UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar) can now reside in Oman.

Under the new rule, expats with valid residency and work visas will be able to visit any GCC country from anywhere, not just from their home country.

GCC residents, including residents of Oman, can now travel freely among GCC countries as a result of the new directive. On arrival visas, however, will be charged a fee. As long as the residence visa is valid for at least three months, they cannot be denied entry.

As a result of this new initiative to boost tourism in all GCC states, expats in Oman will be able to visit other GCC countries without the hassle of applying for visas, as they will be offered visas upon arrival. Expatriate communities in GCC states will benefit the most from it.
