A Saudi woman passed away following a botched liposuction procedure at a medical center in Egypt.
The mother of eight traveled to Egypt with her sister to undergo the surgery after receiving positive recommendations about the clinic on social media.
According to the victim's husband, his wife was in good health and had no pre-existing conditions. Medical tests were sent in advance to ensure she was fit for the procedure, which cost 15,000 riyals per person.
The surgery, which lasted seven hours, caused concern for the woman as she waited for her turn. After her sister's prolonged operation, she underwent the procedure but encountered severe complications during recovery.
Her husband recounted that she regained consciousness and expressed intense pain before being found in critical condition.
"I went to pray, and when I returned, I found my wife in a pool of blood," he said. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the medical team was unable to save her. The tragedy left the woman deceased, leaving behind eight children, the youngest of whom is just two years old.
