The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a crucial advisory for both citizens and residents to take all necessary precautions. It is imperative to strictly adhere to instructions and warnings conveyed through various media channels.
During thunderstorms, it is essential for everyone to seek refuge in safe areas and avoid locations prone to flooding, like torrents, swamps, valleys, and other water collection points. Furthermore, swimming in unsafe areas should be strictly avoided.
The Civil Defense has specifically highlighted that regions such as Makkah, Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha may experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which could lead to flooding. These rain showers will be accompanied by hail and strong winds that may stir up dust.
In Makkah region, expect rainfall in Taif, Al Jumum, Bahrah, Al Qunfudhah, Al-Lith, Al-Kamil, Khulais, Maysaan, Adham, and Al-Ardhiyat.
Additionally, the Riyadh region, including Wadi ad-Dawasir, As Sulayyil, Al Quwaiiyah, Afif, Al Aflaj, and Al Muwayh, Al Khurma, Ranyah, and Turbah in Makkah region, along with the Madinah and Najran regions, can anticipate light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by active downward winds capable of stirring up dust.
