Thunderstorms are expected to continue affecting Makkah and several other regions in Saudi Arabia from Friday to Tuesday, according to the General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defense.

The Directorate has urged the public to exercise extreme caution and prioritize their safety in light of the anticipated rainy weather. People are advised to stay in safe places and avoid areas where torrents, water swamps, and valleys gather.
Regional Impact
Makkah and Surrounding Areas
The Directorate noted that many governorates and areas in the Makkah region will be affected by moderate to heavy rains, leading to possible torrential rains, hail, and dust storms during these days. This includes Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Kamil, and Al-Ardiyat. Light to moderate rain is expected in the Holy Capital, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Qunfudhah, Allaith, Al-Khurmah, Turbah, Raniyah, and Al-Mawiyah.
Riyadh and Surrounding Areas
The Directorate also warned that Al-Aflaj, Hotah Bani Tamim, Al-Kharj, Wadi Al-Dawasir, and Al-Sulayyil in the Riyadh region will experience light to moderate rains and sand storms during these days.
Other Regions
Regions such as Asir, Al-Baha, and Jazan will experience moderate to heavy rain, while Madinah, Najran, and the Eastern Province will see light to moderate rain, as stated in a press release by the Saudi Press Agency.
