There Are 18 Agreements Between Saudi Arabia And The US In The Fields Of Space, Investment, Energy, Communications, And Health

As a result of US President Joe Biden's visit to the Kingdom, the Saudi Ministers of Energy, Investment, Communications, and Health signed 18 agreements with their US counterparts.

Investment, energy, ICT, space, and health can all benefit from the agreements. Both agreements align with Saudi Vision 2030, led by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which aims to expand investment opportunities in promising sectors that can benefit both countries.

During US President Joe Biden's visit to the Kingdom, 13 bilateral agreements were signed with the Ministry of Investment, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and various private companies. 

Among them are Boeing Aerospace, Raytheon Defense Industries, Medtronic, Digital Diagnostics, IKVIA in the healthcare sector, and many other US companies in energy, tourism, education, manufacturing, and textiles.

In addition, the Saudi Space Authority signed the Artemis Accords with NASA, allowing it to explore the Moon and Mars jointly with NASA while participating in the international coalition for the peaceful exploration and use of the Moon, Mars, comets, and asteroids.

A memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and IBM, a leading digital tech company, was signed to upskill 100,000 young people over 5 years within 8 innovative initiatives that can position the Kingdom as a regional hub for technology and innovation.

The MCIT also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the US National Communications and Information Administration (NTIA) on 5G and 6G technologies. It aims to accelerate the growth of the Kingdom's digital economy and enhance the pace of research, development, and innovation.

Saudi Arabia and the United States of America signed a partnership agreement on clean energy, covering areas and projects of cooperation in this sector, as well as cooperation on civil nuclear energy and uranium, reinforcing their efforts to promote clean energy and climate change.

In addition, the Saudi and US ministries of health signed a memorandum of cooperation on public health, medical sciences, and research. This memorandum aims to strengthen and support existing relationships among individuals, organizations and institutions involved in public health. Efforts will also be concentrated on addressing public health issues, medical, scientific and research challenges, as well as exchanging information, expertise, and academics. Additionally, the memorandum addresses the proper application of health information systems, research and development, and health innovation for health workers.
