The Saudi Ministry of Health confirmed its confidence in the Food and Drug Authority regarding Corona vaccines, indicating that it understands the concern about the safety of vaccines.
The Ministry called on everyone to get vaccinated against the vaccine, and even those recovering from the Corona virus.
Yesterday, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority announced its approval to register the "Pfizer-Biontec" vaccine for the Corona virus in the Kingdom, after the company "Pfizer" applied for approval for its registration, so that the health authorities in the Kingdom could then import the vaccine and use it.
The decision to approve the registration of the vaccine and to allow its use came based on the data provided by the company, "Pfizer". As soon as the requirements are completed, the authority began reviewing and evaluating the registration files from several aspects, including the evaluation of the vaccine efficacy and safety data illustrated by clinical trials and studies. As well as verifying the quality of the vaccine by reviewing the scientific data that shows the quality of manufacturing and the stability of the product, in addition to verifying the manufacturing stages and the manufacturer's commitment to applying the principles of good pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP) according to international standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
