Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Friday that fingerprint registration is now required for pilgrims coming to Makkah Al-Mukarramah from five nations.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the 5 countries are:
* Britain
* Kuwait
* Tunisia
* Bangladesh and
* Malaysia
The decision aims to simplify entry procedures through the Kingdom's ports, as well as improve pilgrims' digital experiences.
You can register your fingerprint by downloading the "Saudi Visa Bio" application from the Apple Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone.
The Ministry explained how to register their biometric fingerprints.
1. Determine the type of Visa.
2. Instant reading of the passport.
3. Taking a picture of the face from front camera and matching it with the personal image on the passport.
4. Scanning the fingerprint online through camera.
