With "Dunki," starring Shah Rukh Khan, filming at NEOM for the first time, NEOM has attracted its first Bollywood production.
Wayne Borg, the managing director of NEOM, announced the announcement at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah on Sunday, saying that the 200-episode Saudi soap opera "Exceptional," produced by MBC, would be shot on one of the region's new sound stages as well.
Variety reports that Borg also addressed Abu Dhabi, a hotspot for Hollywood shoots in recent years: "I think our ambitions are far greater than theirs."
Over the past 18 months, Neom has hosted 26 productions, including "Desert Warrior," starring Anthony Mackie and directed by Rupert Wyatt.
