Saudis Will Not Need A Visa To Enter Singapore From June 1
Category: Travel

From June 1, Saudis will no longer need a visa to enter Singapore, the Singaporean embassy in Riyadh announced.

“The Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority has announced that Saudi passport holders will no longer need an entry visa to enter Singapore from 1 June 2023,” the mission said.

Saudis other than holders of diplomatic passports, who are exempt from Singapore visa requirements, need to apply for an entry visa if they plan to enter Singapore before June 1.

“Visa processing fees cannot be refunded to applicants who have already submitted their entry visa applications or received the outcome,” the embassy wrote on Twitter.

Saudi Arabia and Singapore recently flourished, a Southeast Asian island country and a popular tourist destination.

A joint Saudi-Singaporean committee held its second meeting in Singapore last November to improve economic ties between the two countries.

Japan, an Asian country, announced last month that Saudi citizens and foreign residents in Saudi Arabia can obtain an electronic tourist visa.

According to the Japanese embassy in Riyadh, all Saudi nationals can apply online for a tourist visa (single entry visa for up to 90 days).

Applicants (or their representatives) are required to pay the visa fee in cash at the Japanese Embassy or Consulate General, depending on their nationality.

We have notified applicants that they should submit their applications at least seven days before their scheduled arrival in Japan.
