Late last month, Saudi schoolchildren returned to their classes following the summer break, but they will have their first long holiday this week.
To mark Saudi National Day, employees will get two days off on Wednesday and Thursday, along with their usual weekend on Friday and Saturday.
Okaz newspaper reports that schoolteachers and administrative staff will also be given a holiday on this occasion.
Following next Sunday, Saudi schools will celebrate the National Day for five days as designated by the Education Ministry.
Saudi National Day, celebrated annually on September 23, commemorates King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud's founding of Saudi Arabia.
