Saudi Red Crescent Saves Indian Pilgrim During Umrah

In a recent incident, an Indian pilgrim performing Umrah in the Grand Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah suffered a heart attack, but was saved by the quick response of a Saudi Red Crescent ambulance team. The incident occurred during the ritual of Safa Marwa "Sa'i" at the track of wheelchairs, and the medical team arrived on the scene promptly to find the patient unconscious and struggling to breathe.

The team performed CPR using a shock device until the patient's pulse returned, after which he was transported to Ajyad General Hospital for intensive treatment. Dr. Mustafa bin Jamil Baljoun, director of the Makkah branch, praised the team for their swift action and adherence to standard medical procedures.
