The Saudi Public Prosecution has issued a stern warning against the possession of narcotic substances. Individuals found with narcotics or psychotropic substances, without the intent of trafficking, promotion, or authorized personal use, will face severe penalties.
The law states that those caught possessing these substances for non-authorized purposes, such as transporting, handing over, or receiving them, could be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 5 years. Additionally, a hefty fine of SR30,000 will be imposed, emphasizing the seriousness of the offense.
This strong stance against narcotics reflects the commitment to safeguarding the well-being of the society and discouraging any form of substance abuse.
