The Saudi Professional Accreditation Program, launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, has accredited the skills of more than 209,500 workers across 1,000 occupations worldwide. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of labor market outputs and ensure that expatriates meet professional standards.
Program Overview
The program ensures that workers possess the necessary skills and qualifications, aligning with the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations to improve work efficiency and service quality. It consists of two primary services:
- Professional Verification: Aims to confirm the skills and certifications of workers in high-skilled professions. The process is fully automated and takes a maximum of 15 working days.
- Professional Inspection: Focuses on assessing workers with medium or low skill levels through practical and theoretical tests, both before and after their arrival in the Kingdom.
Global Impact and Professional Examination Centers
To assist employers, the program has established over 127 examination centers both inside and outside Saudi Arabia. Since its inception, it has partnered with five major labor-exporting countries:
- Pakistan
- India
- Bangladesh
- Sri Lanka
- Egypt
- The initiative is expanding to cover more countries and professions, helping regulate the labor market and ensure that only qualified workers enter the Kingdom.
Benefits for Employers and Institutions
The program enhances the ability of employers to hire skilled workers, raises awareness about the importance of hiring qualified expatriates, and ensures compliance with job performance standards. It contributes to the creation of a trusted and efficient labor market across various sectors.
Future Expansion and Growth
As the program continues to grow, it will cover additional countries and include more occupations. This effort will boost the overall competence of the workforce, ensuring that the Saudi labor market meets international standards and operates with reliable professional qualifications.
