Saudi Police Have Arrested Two Citizens For Impersonating Cops

Saudi police have arrested two citizens for allegedly impersonating security personnel and committing robberies against expatriates, a security official has said.

Both suspects, in their 50s, were arrested in the region of Al Qassim in central Saudi Arabia, spokesman for local police Lt. Col. Badr Al Suhaibani added.

The official said that police had found in their possession SR30,000 amassed from robbing migrant workers.

Meanwhile, police arrested in Riyadh arrested a Sudanese expat allegedly for committing a number of robberies against pedestrians, the city’s police spokesman Major Khaled Al Karidis said, according to the Saudi news agency SPA.

The suspect, in his 40s, is also accused of stealing vehicles’ number plates and refixing them on his car for his crimes to mislead police.

He allegedly shot at another expatriate’s car, the official added.
