Yemeni Resident Arrested In Jazan For Transporting Six Ethiopian Nationals

Patrol teams from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in the southern Jazan region arrested a Yemeni resident for transporting six Ethiopian nationals in violation of Saudi Arabia's border security regulations.
The Ethiopian nationals were referred to the relevant authorities, while the Yemeni national who transported them was referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stated that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within its borders, provides them with shelter, or offers them any form of assistance or service is subject to penalties of up to 15 years' imprisonment and a fine of up to SR 1 million.
The penalties also include the confiscation of the vehicle used to transport the violators and the accommodation used to shelter them, in addition to public shaming.
