The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is set to broaden the customs duty exemption for various industrial products starting April 1. This initiative aims to bolster the manufacturing sector in line with Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Industry.

Industrial firms with valid licenses from the ministry will benefit from duty exemptions on specific materials and products essential for production operations. However, locally produced materials used as factory outputs or inputs are not eligible for exemptions.

To apply for customs duty exemption, industrial establishments are urged to utilize the ministry's Senaei platform and provide sufficient justifications for their requests. Key data required for submission include average selling prices, product details, import and local input costs, customs clauses, energy equivalents, and production details.

Expanding customs duty exemptions underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing its industrial capabilities and fostering economic growth. This initiative aligns with Vision 2030's objectives of diversifying the economy and promoting local manufacturing.
