Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Finance, through the National Center for Government Resources Systems (NCGR), has launched an electronic payment system for government services fees.
It will be implemented in collaboration with the Digital Government Authority (DGA)
A collection system will be implemented for government agencies, which will allow beneficiaries to pay their service fees through the platform of each government agency that provides the service. Payment methods include Mada, Visa, MasterCard, and Sadad.
In order to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030, the ministry is developing and regulating the infrastructure in financial technologies for government agencies and providing unified and integrated digital services to beneficiaries in order to facilitate their success.
DGA Governor Eng. Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan said that this service comes within the framework of improving the customer experience and supporting the digital transformation process within the framework of building an integrated digital society through digital products of high quality and efficiency, which contributes to supporting the digital economy and raising the level of satisfaction of beneficiaries of digital government services provided to them.
According to Tariq Al-Shohaiban, NCGR's product system includes this service, which aims to assist the government in promoting digital transformation in government financial transactions in order to meet the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals through the provision of the best services and solutions.
Through the government agency website page, payment can be made from either inside or outside the Kingdom in accordance with the best standards and features, which will save time and effort by shortening the previous payment steps into a single step and all in one place.
Many government agencies are represented by this service, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and others.
For his part, the CEO of NCGR Eng. Yousef Al-Harqan said that the center seeks, through the launch of this service, to provide more efficient and effective digital government services in line with the strategic directions of the digital government in enhancing the efficiency of government performance, and raising the satisfaction rate of beneficiaries, which will contribute to raising the quality of life in the Kingdom.
