Saudi Minister Handed Over The 3rd Cinema Operation License To Al-Rashed United Group

Saudi Minister of Information and Chairman of the General Authority for Audiovisual Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awad handed over the third cinema operation license to the Al-Rashed United Group — Empire Cinema.
The company is looking to build 30 theaters in several Saudi cities over the next three years.
The Board of Directors of the General Authority for Audiovisual Media approved on December 11, 2017, the issuance of licenses for those wanting to open theatersn in the Kingdom.
The initiative is aimed at supporting the film sector to stimulate growth and economic diversification and provide job opportunities in new areas, in line with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030.
