Overview of Recent Decisions
The Saudi Council of Ministers, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in Jeddah on Tuesday, approved significant amendments to certain articles of the Labor Law and endorsed a new fundraising law. Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed highlighted the Cabinet’s discussions on enhancing the Kingdom’s regional and international role and supporting stability and prosperity.
International Cooperation and Diplomatic Engagements
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the message sent by King Salman to the president of Iran and the phone call received by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman from the French president. These updates underscore the Kingdom's ongoing diplomatic engagements and cooperation with various countries and organizations.
Humanitarian and Religious Initiatives
The Cabinet commended the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for its projects in 100 countries, executed in collaboration with international partners. This effort underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian aid and support for communities affected by crises.
The Cabinet also praised the outcomes of the 9th Conference of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, which took place on August 4 and 5 in Makkah. The conference focused on strengthening Islamic solidarity, promoting moderation, and addressing concerns of the Muslim world to foster unity and stability.
