Saudi Arabian Government Clarifies That It Has Not Made An Official Bid To Host The FIFA World Cup

On Wednesday, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism clarified that the Kingdom has not submitted an official bid to host the FIFA World Cup.
We are always considering hosting large sporting events, as part of promoting sport and tourism in the Kingdom in line with Saudi Vision 2030,” the ministry tweeted.
Bloomberg published a report on Tuesday that prompted the statement. In a report, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are considering a joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Recently, Saudi Arabia has hosted several international sports tournaments and diversified entertainment events, including Formula 1, football and heavyweight boxing matches.
