In a significant development, the Saudi Ministries of Education and Investment have announced the granting of an investment license to the University of Wollongong, Australia, under the Human Capability Initiative (HCI).

This strategic decision marks a milestone in establishing the university's branch in Saudi Arabia, advancing the goal of providing globally recognized education to both local and international students across various higher education levels.

In collaboration with the Digital Knowledge Company, renowned for its expertise in education and training, this initiative aligns seamlessly with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. One of the key aims of the vision is to attract branches of foreign universities to the Kingdom and increase private sector involvement in higher education by 2030.

The University of Wollongong, distinguished for its academic excellence, holds a place in the top 1% of universities globally according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings. Additionally, it ranks 14th among the best modern universities worldwide, making it a valuable addition to Saudi Arabia's educational landscape.
