Saudi Arabia has enacted a Regulation to Suspend Government Services, effective from the beginning of Ramadan, ensuring minimal disruption to individuals and businesses.
This regulation, designed to safeguard the rights of all parties involved, includes provisions to enhance compliance and accountability. Implementation is closely monitored through government platforms like Absher Individuals and Businesses and the Muqeem portal.
Under the regulation, government services can only be suspended after a grace period for rectification, with exemptions for essential services like healthcare, education, and employment documentation. Suspension must be supported by legal documentation and follows a phased approach, providing ample time for resolution.
