Public Security Launches Automatic Surveillance For 7 Traffic Violations In Saudi Arabia
Category: Traffic

The General Directorate of Public Security in Saudi Arabia is set to implement automatic surveillance for seven traffic violations starting from June 4.

Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al Bassami, the director general of Public Security, announced the introduction of electronic automation for these violations.

The targeted violations include driving on prohibited sidewalks or pedestrian paths, failure to use proper lighting during low visibility conditions, non-compliance of trucks and heavy equipment with lane regulations, traffic rule violations, unclear or damaged number plates, bypassing weight and dimension measurement stations, and unauthorized parking.

The General Traffic Department and the Special Forces for Road Security will monitor and enforce these violations to enhance traffic control, ensure safety, and discourage improper behavior on public roads across the Kingdom.
