Public Prosecution Reveals Penality For Intentionally Damaging Public Facilities

In Saudi Arabia, the Public Prosecution confirmed that public facilities are national projects with the goal of achieving public interest, growth, and sustaining community and service regeneration.

The Public Prosecution through its official Twitter handle warned against deliberately or intentionally damaging any public utility installations or facilities or national projects or cutting off or disrupting public facilities, whether the offender is original or partner.

According to the Public Facilities Protection Law, the penalty for damaging public utilities is as follows.

* The cost of repairing any damage caused to the facility or to third parties.

* Up to two years in prison.

* Up to 100,000 riyals in fines.

* Once the judgement has reached its final stage, it will be published.
