In Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Border Guards (Haras Al-Hudood) advised people to respect the laws and regulations prohibiting them from reaching the border areas.
By placing warning signs and dirt berms along the border areas, the authority has made it clear that visitors should avoid visiting the border areas when visiting natural areas.
According to the Directorate, those who cross the warning signs towards the prohibited land border area will be subject to the penalties outlined in the Border Security Law and its regulations.
In such cases, violators could face up to 30 months in prison and a fine of up to 25,000 riyals, depending on the severity of the offense.
The General Directorate of Border Guard warned hikers and visitors to wild areas along the borders to comply with the Kingdom's regulations and directives, emphasizing that violators will not be tolerated by arresting them and referring them to the police.
