In Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has confirmed its readiness to assist travelers wishing to attend the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
In order to provide travelers with ease and comfort, Saudi Jawazat provided qualified human cadres and modern technical devices at all international ports.
The Qatari authorities announced that the procedures would be implemented from the 1st November 2022 until 23rd December 2022 through the land and air ports leading to Qatar for those interested in attending the World Cup matches and accompanying events. In addition to Qatar citizens and residents who hold a Qatari ID, entry was limited to holders of the Hayya card for travelers using passports registered on the Hayya platform.

Providing the necessary information to ensure a seamless journey for those wishing to attend World Cup matches from within Saudi Arabia, as well as visitors visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the mission of the KSA.
In preparation for the World Cup, the General Directorate of Passports in the Eastern Region announced new procedures for entering Qatar through the Salwa port.
All necessary preparations have been made by the Ministry of Interior to facilitate and streamline procedures for travelers from all ports, and at the recently opened Salwa port, 35 lanes have been designated for vehicles in coordination with the Customs Authority.
For bus departures, a number of halls have been built, and each hall has 40 points for travelers to complete their procedures.
As a requirement for Saudi nationals to travel to Qatar territory, they must receive two doses of Corona vaccine, while those over 16 must receive three doses.
For Arab countries, the travel document requires a remaining period of more than 3 months, and for foreigners, it requires a remaining period of more than 6 months.
- Qatar has a number of conditions regarding tickets to attend matches and Qatari citizens do not require any procedures to enter the country and all ports are fully cooperative with all concerned authorities in the country, as well as having a full operations room at each port.
