Beginning July 1, 2024, newly hired domestic workers arriving in Saudi Arabia will have their salaries transferred online. This update was announced by the Musaned platform, which provides services for domestic workers.
According to the platform, employers must pay domestic workers through the Domestic Workers Salaries icon in the approved digital wallets. This new procedure ensures the rights of individuals by documenting salary payments. Additionally, the digital wallet allows employers to pay domestic workers in advance or send a portion of their salaries beforehand.
For more information on this new measure, you can call the Musaned toll-free number 920002866.
The Musaned platform, established by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, serves as the official website for home employment and domestic services. It outlines the rights and duties of both workers and employers, offering a range of services to streamline the recruitment process, resolve conflicts or complaints, and protect the rights of all parties involved.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to expand the recruitment sector in Saudi Arabia. The government launched the Musaned platform in August of last year to facilitate the transfer of domestic worker services between individual employers.
