According to Hussain Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), most regions of Saudi Arabia will experience thunderstorms starting Sunday until Tuesday.
In Makkah, Madinah, the northern border, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Hail, Al-Qassim, Al-Sharqiya, Riyadh and Al-Baha, there will be moderate to heavy rain.
According to Al-Qahtani, the rains will be accompanied by hail, active dust, lack of horizontal visibility, and torrential rain.
The highlands of Tabuk region, including Al-Lawz (Jabal Al-Lawz), Alqan, and Al-Dahar, are also expected to receive snowfall.
The northern and northeastern regions of Saudi Arabia witnessed a decrease in temperature during the winter season.
On Friday, Turaif recorded the lowest temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, while Al-Qurayyat and Arar recorded 3 degrees Celsius. Sharoura recorded the highest temperature in Saudi Arabia - 30 degrees Celsius.
