The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has issued a directive stating that Eid Al-Fitr prayers should be performed in mosques and not at external prayer areas in areas where rainfall is expected. This directive comes in light of the weather forecasts predicting rain in various regions of Saudi Arabia on the day of Eid Al-Fitr.
The Ministry has instructed its branches to closely monitor weather forecasts that will be issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) to ensure compliance with the directive.
Similarly, the Department of Mosques, Call and Guidance in Taif Governorate has announced that Eid Al-Fitr prayers will be held in mosques as previously announced, due to the inability to hold prayers at external prayer areas due to weather conditions.
It's important to note that the NCM had earlier predicted thunderstorms to persist in many regions of Saudi Arabia until the first few days of the Shawwal month.
