A Saudi man has received a handsome financial compensation after spending more than 1 and half years in jail by mistake.
The court of Appeal in Jeddah city approve a decision issued by the Criminal Court to grant the man an amount of 800,000 riyals as compensation.
- The compensation received by a Saudi citizen for spending 19 months in prison for a criminal case in which he later proved innocent.
- According the court decision, the compensation was offered for damages suffered by the man as a result of the wrongful imprisonment, as per the report of Okaz.
