In Makkah, Madinah, and Al-Baha, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has raised the rain status alert and thunderstorm warning to "warning".
It is considered to be a warning from thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain, surface winds, and high waves, as well as hail and torrential flow, as visibility will be reduced until 10 a.m. Today
In the Makkah region, the rain warning will affect Jeddah, Taif, Al-Kamil, Al-Laith, Al-Shaabiya, Bahrah, Al-Jamoum, Khulais, Asfan and Rabigh.
Madinah, Al-Hankiya, Badr, Khaibar, Yanbu, Al-Mahd, Wadi Al-Fara' will be affected in the Madinah region.
The warning applies to Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Baljurashi, Bani Hasan, and Al-Mandaq in Al-Baha region.
There will also be moderate to heavy rain accompanied by hail in parts of the Eastern region (Al-Sharqiya) and Northern Borders.
In the meantime, the General Directorate of Education in Jeddah has suspended in-person classes at schools in Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais in response to reports from the National Center of Meteorology. On Wednesday, all classes will be held remotely through the Madrasati platform. Staff in schools and education offices will work remotely.
