A policy of issuing Labor Policies through the Qiwa platform is important to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Developments (MHRSD).
MHRSD stated that the Labor Policies service aims to minimize disputes and organize the working environment of establishments.
By educating the worker and the establishment about their rights, as well as their responsibilities and duties, the service contributes to reducing labor disputes.
Two types of labor policies exist, the Standard Labor Policy and the Customized Labor Policy.
As opposed to the Standard Policy, which requires approval, the Standard Policy follows the unified form of the Labor Policy.
If the establishment has fewer than 50 employees, this policy can also be issued and approved immediately through the Qiwa platform.
An establishment can amend the Standard labor policy in a number of ways, including changing the annual calendar (Hijri - Gregorian); changing the leave system; changing the business hours (regular — seasonal); changing the workdays; adding rest days to the weekly schedule; following up until approval; exporting an electronic certificate.
If your establishment has 50 or more employees, you can implement a customized labor policy, which includes terms, conditions, and provisions such as bonuses, annual increases, and violations.
Labor Law provisions, its executive regulations, and decisions issued in implementation of the Labor Law must not be conflicted with when they are added to Customized labor policies.
The Ministry noted that the Customized labor policy is reviewed by law firms or offices accredited to it, in order to ensure that it is free from any conflict with the provisions of the Labor Law and its Executive Regulations and the decisions issued in implementation thereof.
After which the policy will be ratified and submitted to the Ministry to approve it in accordance with the procedures followed.
