The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz said, Saturday, that "this year was exceptional", as the Corona pandemic caused the world economic and social losses, adding that "we should reassure our people and give them hope."
King Salman added, during his speech at the opening of the G20 summit, which Saudi Arabia is supposed to host this year: "In the G20, we must provide support to developing countries in a coordinated manner ... and we must reopen our economies and our borders to facilitate the movement of trade and people."
He continued, "We contributed $ 21 billion to the G20 to address the Corona pandemic ... and we provided emergency support to developing countries by suspending debt payments."
And King Salman added: We have taken exceptional measures in the G20 to support our economies, and we aim to seize the opportunities of the twenty-first century for all.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed: "We will do our best to overcome the Corona crisis through international cooperation ... and the Corona pandemic has caused the world economic and social losses.
