The Saudi court found Barakat bin Jibreel Al-Kinani guilty of the murder of Bandar bin Taha Al-Qarhadi, a beloved flight attendant of Saudi Arabian Airlines. The court swiftly sentenced him to death in January 2023, a mere six weeks after the tragic incident took place.

Bandar Al-Qarhadi, a dedicated father and 40-year-old flight attendant from Jeddah, was handcuffed, doused with gasoline, and set on fire by his childhood friend and colleague, Barakat Al-Kinani. The murder occurred during an altercation when Al-Qarhadi had stopped his car to resolve a long-standing dispute. Shocking video footage captured Al-Qarhadi's desperate cries for help and his agonizing pain before succumbing to his severe burn injuries.
