The Jeddah Municipality has announced the evacuation of 180 workers' housing sites. This came during the field tours to ensure the implementation of the requirements for collective housing for individuals and the safety of its licenses.

In cooperation with several government agencies, the municipality has conducted field tours in different neighborhoods of Jeddah. According to the advisor to the Jeddah mayor, Mohammad Al-Zahrani, 934 sites were visited.

Al-Zahrani explained that these tours aim to do several things, including raising the level of compliance at the workers' housing sites, as well as examining and sterilizing them.

In accordance with the municipal requirements list, the Jeddah municipality has fined violations.

As far as collective housing for individuals is concerned, work is still in progress to monitor and strictly enforce the system.

The Jeddah Municipality urged the owners of the violating sites to quickly pay the financial fines applied to them, remove the unlicensed workers’ housing sites immediately, and correct the status of the violations of the licensed sites, so that penalties will not be imposed on them.
