According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) report on the performance of the Kingdom's international and domestic airports for September 2022, Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, Dammam's King Fahd International Airport, Abha International Airport, Al-Jouf Airport, and Al-Qurayyat Airport all ranked at advanced positions.

As part of the implementation of the strategic decisions aimed at improving the services offered to passengers, raising the level and improving the passenger experience at the Kingdom's airports, the report was issued based on 14 basic performance criteria.

As a result of the GACA's commitment to transparency, airports were divided into five categories, starting with international airports, which average more than 15 million passengers annually. In the rankings, Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport ranked first with a commitment rate of 82%, while Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport ranked second with a commitment rate of 55%.

King Fahd International Airport ranked first with 91%, followed by Madina's Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport with 82% in the 2nd category of International airports.

In the 3rd category of international airports with 2 to 5 million passengers annually, Abha International Airport ranked first with 100%, followed by Jizan's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport with 88%.

The Al-Jouf Airport ranked first in the 4th category of international airports with less than 2 million passengers annually, outperforming its competitors in total average waiting times for departures and arrivals.

Qurayyat ranked first at the 5th category for domestic airports, achieving a percentage of 100%, outperforming all competing airports in the total average waiting times for departures and arrivals.
