Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi, issued an order on Monday to Saudise remote customer service professions, including direct and indirect contract jobs.
The ministry said the decision came in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The ministerial decision also includes work contracts or outsourcing of services under which employeees offer work remotely. The decision covers Saudisation of all professions and jobs that are offered at remote customer service call centres, whether by phone, email, chat, social media, direct interaction, and others.
This decision aims to create more jobs for Saudis and help them improve their income level, besides contributing to supporting the Saudi economy and gross domestic product (GDP), in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The ministry, in cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), will offer a number of training and support programmes for customer service professions.
The programmes will be carried through training and support channels such as on-the-job training Tamheer, e-training platform Doroob, summer training platform Saifi, HADAF Academy for Leadership, and the Saudi Human Resources portal.
