Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the Eid Al Fitr holidays for the private and non-profit sectors. The festivities will begin on Friday, April 21, lasting for four days, with regular working hours resuming on Tuesday, April 25.
Employers have been advised to adhere to the provisions outlined in the second paragraph of Article (24) of the executive regulations of the labor law. Eid Al Fitr, which follows the holy month of Ramadan, marks the first long weekend of 2023 in the UAE, likely taking place from Thursday, April 20, to Sunday, April 23.
This year, the holy month commenced in the Emirates on Thursday, March 23. Islamic months typically last 29 or 30 days, depending on when the moon is sighted. According to astronomical calculations, Ramadan will last for 29 days this year.
