Flynas Trains Cabin Crew In Sign Language
Category: Aviation

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, flynas, has launched the country's first program to train airline cabin crew in sign language, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In collaboration with the Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment, this initiative underscores flynas' commitment to social sustainability. The program aims to equip cabin crew with the skills to communicate effectively with passengers who are deaf or hard of hearing, focusing on mastering sign language.

The training covers all aspects of passenger interaction, from welcoming and boarding procedures to in-flight service, safety protocols, and farewell procedures upon landing. This initiative highlights flynas' dedication to delivering exceptional travel experiences and complements previous initiatives, such as training ground service personnel and cabin crews to interact with passengers on the Autism Spectrum.
