A local new portal reports that civil defence personnel in Saudi Arabia's holy city of Mecca recovered the body of an expatriate after heavy rains swept him away.
Sabq reported that the Myanmar national had been swept away by flash floods on Monday in a Mecca district.
He was found 13 kilometers from his site south of Mecca, according to the report.
According to the report, the incident was referred to competent agencies, so the body was taken to a hospital morgue.
Saudi Arabia has been pummeled with torrential rains this week, including Mecca.
Mecca's education authorities closed schools on Tuesday for the third consecutive day due to rain.
According to local media, classes are instead conducted online through the Madrasty platform of the government.
A similar decision was made in Riyadh, Jeddah, Taif, and Medina to suspend in-person classes
