The Riyadh region police have apprehended a citizen who, in one of the social media's audio spaces, insulted one of Saudi Arabia's regions. This individual also disseminated content that could potentially disrupt public order and incite tribal conflicts. The police have taken appropriate legal actions against the offender.

The arrest was made following the directive of Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab, the Attorney General and Chairman of the Public Prosecution Council. The Prosecution Monitoring Center provided evidence of the offensive incident and the individual's sectarian discrimination, which continued through content publication on other platforms.

The Attorney General's directive is in accordance with Article 15 and 17 of Saudi Arabia's Criminal Procedure Law. It includes referring the citizen to the Public Prosecution to undergo necessary legal procedures and initiating a criminal case against them. The goal is to present the case before the competent court and seek severe penalties for the individual's abusive actions.
