According to a Saudi newspaper, eight recruitment offices have been ordered to withdraw their licenses for violating labour rules.
According to Okaz, the decision was made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which also suspended eight other offices pending resolution of complaints against them.
It said the 16 businesses violated the kingdom's labour laws during August and September as part of the ministry's oversight of the recruitment sector.
Monitoring efforts aim to ensure implementation of the ministry's decisions to protect employers' rights and develop the recruitment market.
Any recruitment breach should be reported via unified No 19911 or its smartphone apps, according to the ministry.
There is a large community of migrant workers in Saudi Arabia.
